How to Join Sanderling Waldorf School

Our admissions office accepts Kindergarten and Grades applications on a rolling basis year-round, with applications for immediate placement subject to availability.

The following steps comprise the application and enrollment process:

1. Attend A Tour

You are warmly invited to join us at one of our ongoing tours. These are the best opportunities to experience the Sanderling Waldorf School environment as well as have your questions answered about Waldorf education. Register for a Tour

2. Submit An Application

When you are ready to take the next step, you can begin with the Admissions process simply by completing an online application, accessible by, first, creating your parent portal account in our parent database. Our admissions team will send you the link to create your portal. This is also where you can pay the $100 application fee (per child) via credit card or eCheck.

Once your parent portal account is created please follow the steps below:

  1. Select the “Admissions” tab

  2. Select “My Inquiries and Applications”

  3. Click “Add new”

  4. Select “Submit a new Application” to begin

3. Interview

Shortly after you submit your child's application for the Nursery/Kindergarten or Grades program, the class teacher will contact you to set up an interview to meet you and your child.

Newly applying Nursery/Kindergarten families will be notified of the admissions decision and enrollment deadline within approximately one week after the family interview (for midyear enrollment); for new fall enrollment during the spring interview sessions, families will be notified by mid-May.

4. Trial Days (Grades Only)

If your child is applying mid-year for admission to the Grades program, trial days will be scheduled for him or her following the interview. This is an opportunity for your child to participate with the class for several days of school. After a prospective student completes the trial days, the faculty makes a collaborative decision on his or her enrollment.

All admissions decisions are made by the faculty. Upon acceptance and enrollment, a nonrefundable enrollment deposit is due.
