Now through November 12th Sanderling is offering Christmas trees and greenery to fundraise for our growing school and our community events. Trees, wreaths, and garlands are premium nursery-quality fresh from the Pacific Northwest.
Honor and support active-duty military members and their families by donating a Christmas tree and/or wreath! For any order, you may opt for pick-up at our Vista campus or home delivery.

What is the Annual Giving Community Fund?
Like many independent schools, Sanderling Waldorf relies on financial contributions that go beyond tuition and fees. To sustain and enrich a Waldorf education for our children, we need support from our community. Your contributions are essential for maintaining our talented faculty, enhancing educational programs, and providing financial aid throughout our community.
We invite every member of the Sanderling Waldorf community to contribute to the Annual Giving Community Fund. Regardless of size, each gift is a meaningful expression of our collective commitment. Every donation reflects the diverse generosity of our community, and we honor and appreciate each unique contribution.
Why Annual Giving Matters
Our Annual Giving Community Fund is critical to meeting Sanderling Waldorf's immediate financial needs. Funds raised support every student daily, ensuring rich language art, science, culture, foreign languages, performing arts, music, handwork, and movement curriculum.
This year, our campaign runs from October 21st to December 31st to raise $100,000. We aim for 100% participation from our school community to demonstrate our collective commitment to our school's well-being and strength.
The Importance of 100% Participation
When we seek support from external foundations and corporate donors, the consistent engagement of our entire community—parents, teachers, alumni, and friends—sends a powerful message and is necessary. Each gift, regardless of size, shows that those who know us best believe in the value of a Waldorf education.
How Much Should I Give?
We aim for each family to contribute $1,000; every gift, regardless of size, is deeply appreciated. We rely on significant contributions and smaller donations from many individuals to reach our target.
Since Sanderling Waldorf is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, every gift to the school is 100% tax-deductible to the extent of IRS regulations.
How Can I Give?
The best way to give is via checks or cash, as these methods avoid transaction fees for the school. You can also pledge to donate by the end of the fiscal year, June 30th, or break your gift into monthly installments.

Shop with Raise Right
Hundreds of popular merchants participate in the Raise Right program, in which they donate a portion of purchases to a designated charity or non-profit, in this case, us! Take a look to see if any places you regularly shop are taking part in the Raise Right program - this way, you can donate to our school via the shopping you already do. For everyday expenses like groceries, gas, clothing, travel, lodging, and entertainment - your family can purchase E-gift cards. There are several ways to raise money by purchasing items and shopping at stores you already frequent — it’s so easy and FREE.
This program can be used by every member of our community, including parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends. If you have a business, you can use these programs to purchase business supplies, too. Here is how to sign up for Raise Right:
